My Students
My students are fourth graders who are very enthusiastic learners! I have 19 students who are all hard-working, passionate, respectful and responsible. We work as a team to accomplish our learning expectations all while having fun in the classroom. Our school district provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment for students to thrive in. As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the district every year.
My students are growing and learning in a wonderful community that supports their education, and my job is to make sure their learning experience is a positive one.
I want to help my students be the best they can be while preparing them for a successful future.
My Project
These materials will help my students in many ways, all of which will help them be successful learners. With these items, students will be more comfortable in the classroom which will positively affect their learning. Currently, we learn in a traditional classroom in regards to furniture; each student has a desk and a chair, and we meet on our carpet for whole group activities. While our setup is traditional, we use technology every day to supplement our learning. Students are often working around the room in different areas to research on a Chromebook. The stools, stability balls, lap desks, and collaboration table are materials that will help my students feel comfortable while they are focusing on their work.
Every student learns in a different way, and giving students the ability to choose where they want to learn will help build responsibility and promote success.
Flexible seating gives students the opportunity to discover how they learn best. This realization will not only help students this year in fourth grade, but will benefit them as they continue with their education. Our new classroom layout will help increase student engagement and motivation, which in turn will improve their academic performance. I'm looking forward to seeing all of these benefits in action with my happy and hard-working fourth graders! Your help is greatly appreciated.
