Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Creating a safe and healthy science classroom is vital to enhancing students’ learning experiences, especially after each lab activity. Proper cleaning supplies allow us to thoroughly sanitize workstations, tools, and surfaces following every experiment. When students know their environment is clean and safe, they can focus more confidently on scientific exploration without concerns about germs or contamination. This hygiene supports not only their physical health but also builds respect for lab safety protocols and responsibility. Ultimately, a clean classroom fosters curiosity and hands-on discovery, which are essential for understanding science deeply.

The goal of this project is to provide essential cleaning materials and oils to maintain hygiene in the science classroom, particularly after each lab session.

By immediately cleaning and disinfecting shared equipment and surfaces, we reduce the spread of germs and protect students from illnesses that could interrupt their learning. This project supports consistent attendance and participation, which are crucial for mastering scientific concepts. Additionally, it encourages lifelong habits of cleanliness and safety that students will carry beyond the classroom. Providing these supplies ensures a healthy, uninterrupted learning environment that benefits both students and teachers.

What makes my students truly special is their enthusiasm, resilience, and eagerness to learn through hands-on science. They approach each lab with curiosity and teamwork, eager to understand the world despite any challenges. Supplying cleaning materials honors their dedication by protecting their health and enabling them to fully engage without hesitation. These supplies represent more than cleanliness—they are an investment in my students’ well-being, growth, and the unique energy they bring to the classroom. Supporting a safe and spotless space nurtures their potential to thrive as confident scientists and lifelong learners.
