This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students love listening to stories and looking through books, but we are still in the process of learning to treat the books with love. We would like you to help us provide a book to each student to help them learn to take care of their books through ownership.
Each morning, mom or dad will sit with their child and read and talk about the book for 5 minutes.
Parents having the opportunity to be in the classroom and read to their child sets a positive start for the day. The book will be assigned based on the parents' preferred language. I have also included two more books to be added to our class collections.
