My Students

My students are an amazing group who perform at a high level for their age. They work on grade-level and above-grade-level content. This group is the most well-behaved group of students that I have ever worked with. They have already shown so much growth over this school year. I am looking forward to challenging them to grow with new materials.

My Project

These reading materials will be used for independent reading as students practice literacy skills that we have learned during our whole class instruction. For example, right now students are learning about character traits. With these books, they will analyze the character traits of the main characters in their books. It will also be used to help them read at a higher level. Many of these graphic novels are on-grade level or above the grade level of my students. The students in my class often read one or two grade levels above the grade that they are in. These books will give them additional high-level reading materials. I have also asked for some games and toys related to these books to be incentives to help them read more. I can use the board games as a center for them to play with their friends if they have been very focused during their independent reading time.
