it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
"Pictures are worth a thousand words," and you don't know how true this is for my students with special needs. I am a Pre-K special education teacher. There are 14 students in my class. Most of them are non-verbal and are learning to communicate by the use of a picture exchange system. I make picture books containing various pictures to express their wants and needs and to answer questions.
The use of pictures promotes language among my students and as a result, they cannot only communicate better but also their behaviors and frustration decrease.
I am therefore requesting a donation of a smart printer to be able to create picture exchange communication books for my students.
