Promoting Financial Literacy in Preschoolers - Part 2

My students need play food to buy and sell at their market and additional puzzles and games that will give them more experiences touching, seeing, and using money for their financial literacy beginnings.

My Students

My students are amazing, inquisitive, curious little learners. They are three, four and five years old, developmentally delayed kiddos who love to come to school everyday!

They are sweet, loving and need so much more to enlighten their never ending drive to learn!

They love school so much they don't even want to go home at the end of the day. They are my biggest joy and I love seeing them and being with them everyday. They are my happy place and I want to give them what they need to learn and succeed.

My Project

The pretend food will be able to go with the market and cash register and are just the beginning for my preschool students in learning about financial literacy and responsible money management.

My students will be able to begin to recognize and use money while practicing for the real world.

They will begin to use their money in financial transactions when purchasing items from the market. The cashier will be able to recognize and count money and make change. With the games, puzzles and money models, I will be able to teach them the different bills and coins, values and names of each.
