My students are so amazing. I work with special education students in k through 5th grade. My students have iep’s and require many supports. I embed many of my tools into the classrooms to support my students and provide their teachers with supplies that are beneficial for their individual needs. We are a caring and compassionate school. We will be returning to our school in-person this September. I want to provide culturally diverse books to help promote self esteem in my students.

All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind.
With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to read independently and at the same promote diversity.
They will be able to choose books that interest them and are culturally relevant to each of my students. Diversity in learning and reading is so important in promoting positive self esteem . Motivation for all children to learn about other cultures and stories with diverse characters fosters a greater understanding of our similarities and differences in a positive way.
