It seems there is more hype around chess than ever before. Students at John Dewey of all backgrounds and personalities are playing during their lunch periods. Many of these players want to take their games to the next level.
In order to do this, more equipment like clocks and extra chess sets and chairs are needed to give students the experience of a chess tournament atmosphere.
With the extra equipment all students will be able to play during their lunch periods and our high school will have the capacity to host a tournament.
