Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an ESL Teacher and a BNAT, Bilingual Needs Assessment Teacher, I serve a big population of Spanish speakers who come from different Spanish speaking countries. They face many challenges, from migrating to the United States to adapting to the a new country, culture, its people, and language. My project will focus in readying them for their new school by providing the basic tools to be successful in their classes.
Promise of a New Beginning Project will provide this backpack with materials needed throughout their daily routines, making it easier on their parents so they have something less to worry about.
I hope this can have a positive effect on our new comers making them feel welcomed and supported.
