Promethean Board for a Speech/Language Therapy Room
Help me give my students a Promethean board to see my lessons. We have no working technology, I hand write on a white board and have to erase after each session, and kids can't see my slides.
Working in a middle school during a technology driven era, it has been a struggle to share various strategies with my Speech therapy students without a working smart board or promethean. I have to hand write everything over and over for multiple grade levels and various students with disabilities. My students would really benefit from having the Promethean Board in my therapy room so they could interact with the various lessons and strategies I use to help them within their classes as well as in their life.
All of my students have various learning disabilities as well as communication disorders and struggle both academically as well as socially.
When they come to my therapy room, I try and foster and positive learning environment but it is lacking technology. Some of my students have working devices but many times they are not working and it has been difficult to share my lessons. I have had the opportunity to work with them within their regular classes and see how beneficial having a Promethean board is, especially for the students who are visual and/or kinesthetic learners. In addition to being able to see amazing slides, they will be able to interact with them using the board.
