This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have a fantastic group of students who all come from a historically disadvantaged and underserved community of color. They are eager to learn and advance to find their rightful place in the competitive world out there. They deserve the best education I can provide for them. In order to do so, I'd like to bring projects back to my Math class so they can make sense of the world around them by seeing the impact of science on the climate and how certain initiatives can reduce pollution in our environment.

I want my students to visualize the impact of pollutants in our environment by replicating experiments & analyzing the data using Math.

Students will use glue guns, paper, art/craft supplies to show the impact of humans on environment. After crafting these projects, students will investigate ways to reduce human impact on pollution.

In order to do projects in Math, I would needs lots of material which I am hoping I can get using a few projects on Donors Choose. With projects, students see the value of Math in pressing topics such as climate and environment.
