My Project

In this day and age, students are being introduced to STEAM and STEAM-focused jobs more often. It is important that we make these opportunities available to our students so they learn that they have the capabilities of working in these career fields when they are older. Teaching at a STEAM-focused school, I have the unique opportunity to give my students the ability to investigate the different aspects of STEAM and foster a love of learning in these fields of study.

With this project, my goal is to provide my students with tools like the 3Doodler, that will help foster their love of technology, as well as introduce them to a different type of art.

The 3Doodlers will give my students an introduction to 3D printing. The books will give my students ideas and steps for creating different projects before they feel comfortable creating things on their own. The replacement filament will allow my students to create more projects and designs. My students have seen 3D printers in action so I would like to provide them with the opportunity to work with these tools on their own. Eventually, I would like my students to use the 3Doodlers during their projects throughout the year once they have become accustomed to the tools.
