My Project
African American History is in it's second year at my high school and is very impactful for the students that are taking the course. This project not only supports my African American History class, but will assist in a joint project with the Advanced Placement Art class.
As a team, we plan to teach our students about important African American historical figures.
Once taught, the students will make a selection and create a poster. This poster will require them to translate their figures' human capabilities into meaningful superpowers that represent their successes. We as co-teachers who plan to create a school environment of success, fun and creativity that represents African and African American historical figures that are quite honestly, amazing!
