This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children are developing a sense of initiative and creativity in their preschool years. They are curious about the world around them, and they are exploring their ability to create and communicate using a variety of media.

A projector provides another medium for them to demonstrate their creativity and learning.

Projecting a photo and video of a rocket ship launch allows young learners to create their own design of rocket ship and make plans for dramatic play rocket ship launch. Projecting a storybook on a wider screen makes children more engaged in listening to stories, and no more: "I can't see the picture!" A projector allows children to be more interactive in story time when answering the question: "What do you think is happening to the character in this picture?" while looking at the wide screen. The younger the child, the shorter the attention span. With a projector, a blended lesson is possible when demonstrating a new concept using the screen, and then children practice in smaller groups.
