This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My classroom has a beautiful wall of windows along one side, and our projector shines onto our whiteboard on the opposite wall. For years, I have closed off our beautiful windows and cut down on natural light in the classroom to try to reduce glare on the whiteboard and make our projected slides and videos easier to see.

The solution to our problem is to install a retractable projection screen so that my students aren't struggling with glare, and we can still open our blinds and enjoy natural light!

To make this happen, we need to upgrade our cables and systems so they don't get in the way of the projection screen!

I am so excited to have a solution to this problem that allows my students to have the best of both worlds—natural light and a glare-free projection screen!
