As you drive into the once bustling military arsenal, you will find my high school. I teach English and Entrepreneurship to 11th and 12th grade students in a high-need charter school.
Everyday I use a dilapidated overhead projector to share notes with my students. My school has limited funding to provide resources, so my students are not exposed to the technological resources that would benefit them and truly help to prepare them for college.
I need an LCD projector in my classroom. I think it will be a much more efficient means to deliver notes and other resources to the students. It will also be very helpful in student presentations, especially when my Entrepreneurship students present their business plans to their classmates. The LCD projector will benefit my students because it will put them on the right track for preparedness for college. In our increasingly technological world, it is a shame that students are only benefiting from an overhead projector in which the light bulb dies constantly. With the LCD projector, students will become acclimated to the type of note taking and learning that they are likely to experience in a fast-paced college environment.

I teach at a charter, which is not a neighborhood school, and your help will foster the strong community of sharing that I hope to build with my students.
