My Students

My classroom is affected by the coronavirus pandemic because the school serves a diverse, high-poverty population with 98% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch and many students are speakers of other languages. My students are resilient and hardworking. They are excited and inquisitive, which makes a great match for success.

Many of my students do not have many supplies.

I am now using Zoom and Microsoft Teams to teach, connect, and listen to the many challenges that they are experience while at home during this pandemic.

My Project

The Bomaker Wi-Fi Mini Portable HDMI Projector will help me bring my lessons to life that I will be teaching to my students. I have an iPad and need the case to protect it while using it to display information to my students. I have a lot of students that are struggling readers and writers and the projector will allow me to show them what they really need to understand. I will be able to project the reading and the writing resources that I will purchase from TPT to show the students where and how they are making mistakes in order to help them become success. Also, the Post-it Super Sticky Easel Pad and markers will be used to create anchor charts to display on the walls so that the students can see and understands the skills that I am teaching them. While home during this pandemic I am finding it very difficult to show my students exactly what I need them to understand and with all the materials they will not only understand but will be engage as they were in the classroom.
