I am a special education teacher for students in a self contained classroom setting. The grades of my students range from 1st through 6th grade. My students have difficulty functioning in a general education setting and need a lot of support.
These children learn in many different ways. Having a projector to present various lessons will increase student learning. PowerPoint presentations help the students who have difficulties visualizing concepts and relating to themes. Using lessons incorporating a projector will help them with their academics. Unfortunately, without the proper materials it is difficult for them to learn certain concepts.
Using technology, such as an Epson Projector, would make learning fun and exciting! I have tried to use PowerPoint presentations in my classroom before, but the projector that is currently in my class is difficult to use because it shuts off within 5 minutes of it running. It also does not have speakers, so students cannot hear video clips. An Epson projector that is new and can support these programs is essential!
Remember, you will not only be providing an Epson projector for my classroom, but a better foundation laid for those who are less fortunate. You will make it possible for my students to succeed by giving them the opportunity to use supplies that they do not currently have access to.
