My Students

My day consists of teaching a second grade class of 14 students. My students are absolutely AMAZING and are very hard workers who are always willing to learn more! A majority of my students come from poverty stricken homes and have limited access to technology.

Our school is lacking when it comes to technology resources, and with your help they will be able to experience more interactive lessons that they otherwise would not be able to experience.

My outstanding students are absolutely amazing to work with and have a huge amount of potential, but due to circumstances beyond their control they are at a great disadvantage. My students love being able to use technology in order to interact with our lessons with activities, videos, and music. However, due to limited resources, they are unable to experience these things very often. Receiving this technology will allow us to use a variety of methods to really dig deeper into our lessons.

My Project

With this DLP Projector my students will be able to incorporate interactive lessons in every subject area, watch educational videos, and participate in online research as a whole group. My students will learn how to use technology as a tool to support the advancement of their education. We will be able to access a variety of programs including Brain Pop, Scholastic Kids, Reading Rainbow, practice math activities, listen to songs based on reading and math strategies, and much more. Having these available to view as a whole class will allow us to supplement our lessons in every subject area on a daily basis.

Since our school lacks technological resources, this tool would allow my students to acquire new skills both with using this technology, and finding new ways to use this resource as a tool in their educational toolbox.

My students will be able to experience lessons in a way they never have before. This will create an even more exciting environment which will encourage continual exploration of ideas, topics, and overall learning.
