This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Albert Einstein quoted, "It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." This is what I hope to accomplish in my students with the help of current technology resources and tools.

I have 34, pre-school age students, who are predominantly from a Latino/Hispanic background with a few African/American students.

For many of them, their fist language is Spanish and unfortunately, they are living within the poverty guidelines. However, they are extremely enthusiastic about coming to school everyday and learning new things. They're in need of the experiences that every child deserves, hence why we are asking for a projector to be able to connect the Internet in the classroom and also have virtual field trips. In addition, hope to provide them with experiences that they would not have outside of the classroom due to their limited resources in the community.

My Project

Currently, we only have two working computers in the classroom. In this technological world, it is important that all students be exposed to computers and learn how to research the world wide web. I am requesting a projector that will be able to connect to the Internet so that all the students will be exposed to the Internet but also use the projector to demonstrate hands-on lessons and provide modeling for instructional purposes.

Having a projector in the classroom is so important for instructional purposes because it will help my students with hands-on learning and learning to use technology/internet to find information when researching.
