Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are enthusiastic but often lack the motivation to work on their classwork. They also need support with English speaking and listening. Most are English Learners and are struggling in their English Language Arts class.
My students come from a diverse school in a large city.
Part of the school is a magnet with students from all over the city. My students, however, are comprised mainly of residential students from the local low-income neighborhood. Most are English Learners, as well.
My Project
The student work hard on their class projects. but sometimes their projects need more impact; these supplies will help the students improve their class projects. The markers and stickers will be used on the projects themselves.
Student projects are a large part of class and these students deserve supplies to make awesome projects.
The posters and calendar will decorate the work space making the student project area more supportive. All together, the decorations and supplies will enable the students to design and make impressive and eye catching class projects. This will help their self esteem as well as their grades in the class.
