Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a public city high school where many scholars are diverse, multiple language learners. They children are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to lead such wonderful children.
The school library learning commons is a place students come to in order to find themselves, discover what they like doing and make friends.
As the school library media specialist, I teach a research and social media class in the computer lab and we want to do a fun project. Kids have started to research the history of a charcuterie board and how it got its name. Now they get to make their own with the requested snack bars. We need acrylic to make signs/labels for the boards. Mugs are for the student recognition event. This fun project will create a more welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone and show support for students' social and emotional well-being.
School libraries are amazing places that are not only relaxing, but also are places that give birth to new ideas. Thank you for your time, consideration and support of school libraries and public-school children.
