it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are from a Title I school in Waterbury, CT, serving students within an Academic Academy in grades 4-8. We are desperately in need of impactful and safe resources for outdoor play, learning and discovery. Many of our students enjoy spending time on our patio as a place to play, socialize, exercise and enjoy the outdoors within our urban setting. Our patio is beautifully muraled by our students with the help of our amazing art teacher, however, it is totally concrete.
We have no playscape for the younger students and no basketball hoops, etc for all to enjoy.
We have to be creative with our area and these outdoor games and PE materials and resources will ensure that each grade level is designated specific tools which can best be used to suit their ages and interests.
