My Students
A gifted classroom is an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some of my students are at or above grade level in reading or math, or are gifted artistically. Both my fifth and sixth grade classes love project based - hands on learning. Each student will dive deeper into a concept depending on their interest level.
In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences.
We strive to create a classroom that supports risk taking and celebrates all learning.
We are part of a larger school that celebrates inclusion. Students come to our school because we understand that all children learn differently. Our students thrive in an environment that allows them the best student they can be with teachers and staff that understand their differences. We are a family.
My Project
The use of technology is almost a daily activity in any classroom. This is the case in my math science and engineering classes. Not all student learn the same way. By adding Chromebooks to my classroom, it will allow more students to have access to technology. My students will be able to dive deeper into their problem and project based learning projects through researching. They will have access to digital periodicals, Google Classroom assignments and much more.
I have noticed amazing differences in my all my students when they are given a choice.
When they are given the opportunity and tools to succeed, they thrive.
