My Students
I teach children with disabilities for grades three and four. Each child in the class has an IEP. There is a wide range of disabilities in the class. The children in this class need a smaller learning environment to be able to grasp concepts and advance academically. My students are special because they do their best to overcome all obstacles in their way. Being in a self-contained class makes them feel different everyday, but with perseverance and patience, they are able to do anything!
My Project
A lot of students have fallen below their designated grade level due to the Covid-19 pandemic. These are two stories that make students want to read. They have stood the test of time and have made many readers want to read more and more. Two beloved authors will bring out the best effort and desire in children who have been kept at home for almost two years. I believe, that as a class, we can overcome the difficulties we may face by finding good books to share with one another in class.
