I strive on keeping my students active whether we are inside a classroom or on the playground. Keeping them active on the playground is much easier than inside a crowded room filled with desks! Some of my classrooms don't even have a computer with Internet access that I can use.
I strive to teach my students that they can be active in many different situations or settings with or without equipment.
I try to incorporate technology as much as I can as well. Whether they have access at home or not I want them to know what is available. The majority of my students don't have any kind of technology at home so I want them to have that burning sensation to learn when I introduce new things to them.
My Project
If I am so fortunate to get this project funded I will use the projector while inside the classrooms for PE. Instead of 40 kids gathering around a small laptop screen they can spread out around the room to view it off of a portable projector screen. Believe me, 40 kindergarten and first grade students do not know how to use space management when trying to all see what is on a small screen!

Help me show them that technology in their life can be fun and active. This project being funded will open up so many new teaching avenues for me. New ways for me to teach my students how important it is to BE ACTIVE!
