My students are in grades 9-12 in a suburban Ohio high school. Our student book club, Project LIT, meets once a month to discuss current young adult literature and nonfiction. We often try to integrate virtual author visits into our meeting times. So far we have been able to have a schoolwide author visit with bestselling author, Nic Stone, and virtual visits with Jeffrey Zentner and Romina Garber.
The mission of Project LIT is to read culturally sustaining books and create a space for discussions that better ourselves, our schools, and our community.
Receiving this grant will help us purchase the books we need to run our program! Thank you for considering!
