My Students
Did you ever feel like you just weren't like your classmates? Well unfortunately, that's exactly how my students feel on a daily basis. They always feel behind, unable to express themselves and YOU can help!
This year, I am lucky enough to be working with multi-age, multilevel student.
My English Language Learners will range from third graders to fifth graders. Our school is located I'm a suburban Michigan neighborhood. We are super excited to learn, grow, and become lifelong learners!
My Project
The students that I will be working with are students that have been identified as not meeting grade level expectations. They are students who are not performing at grade level and therefore need the extra support outside of the traditional classroom setting.
The materials that I have requested--pencils, highlighters, book bags, post its, and journals--will help to support these young minds. I will be able to provide them with the writing utensils and tools they will need for writing, reading, math, note taking and so much more!
The purpose of the iPod Touch will be to aid them in being more fluent readers. Due to the fact that my students are English Language Learners, they are not as fluent in their reading or writing. Using the iPod Touch will allow me to record their reading and let them hear it back. We can also record stories on them and take pictures that can be used to illustrate writing pieces.
By supporting this project, you will be helping to provide my students with the necessary tools they will need to catch up to their peers.
Such basics, like post it's, pencils, book bags, highlighters and the iPod Touch, will help me show them that they can in fact reach their fullest potential!
