My Students
My students, in a Preschool - 8th grade public Montessori school, come from many diverse backgrounds and they have many different learning styles. My class consists of students from sixth to eighth grade and are the oldest students at the school. We focus on students becoming college ready through academics, collaboration, social engagement, and service learning.
I'm extremely lucky to have an amazing class and families with full engagement this school year!
ALL my students stay engaged in the classroom no matter how they chose to learn this school year! I teach all subjects to the 7th and 8th grade class in our building. Since starting this school year, all my students have engaged in all our online meetings, with classwork, and completed all assignments. My current MacBook is over 5 years old and cannot keep up with the rapidly changing online environment. I am unable to connect to Bluetooth devices and unable to use multiple applications at once on my current school provided computer.
My Project
Currently, I use a MacBook that is over 5 years old to teach my students both virtually and in person. The computer that is currently used is unable to complete many functions in a timely manner, cannot maintain a battery charge longer than a couple hours, and is unable to connect to bluetooth or to other wireless devices. Having a new computer will allow me to effectively and efficiently manage both my virtual and in person learners to meet their learning needs for this school year and for many school years to come!
