Help me give my students new ways to differentiate work so that they are able to understand a curriculum that was not designed to fit their needs.

My Students
I teach children with disabilities for grades three and four. Each child in the class has an IEP. There is a wide range of disabilities in the class. The children in this class need a smaller learning environment to be able to grasp concepts and advance academically. My students are special because they do their best to overcome all obstacles in their way. Being in a self-contained class makes them feel different every day but with perseverance and patience, they are able to do anything!
My Project
Tablet-based learning has proven to benefit a variety of different needs. There are multiple conditions that cause impairments with children's motor skills, and this has created challenges for some students when trying to use a computer, or even putting a pencil to paper. Tablets are intuitively designed to be easy to operate and require very basic inputs. Tablets give students the opportunity to log into presentations that were designed to fit their specific needs. Often my children have a hard time copying off of the board or are unable to keep up. With this technology, we will be able to set up a program that puts the PowerPoint on their tablets and makes it easier for them to follow the lesson.
