Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a city school district. Many scholars in our public city school are diverse, with multiple language learners and at-risk readers. Many scholars are also from low-income households. However, they are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and improve daily. I am honored to teach such wonderful children. My scholars are eager to learn, excel, and connect the school library media center curriculum. As the school librarian, I can reach every student in the school. I have been teaching for 23 years, and I take great pride in my work. I strive to make learning fun and engaging as I have been focusing on transdisciplinary learning to help scholars have authentic and powerful learning experiences.
I enjoy providing scholars with many experiences to connect the curriculum and enhance their learning while promoting equitable access and allowing them to be creative and stimulate their curiosity.
These lights, keyboard, wall contact paper, diffuser, Tibetan singing bowl, and ceiling covers will foster social and emotional learning in the library learning commons. Kids can take a minute, slow down, and break from academics as they create through visual and sensory stimulation. Mental health and therapeutic learning are essential for healthy children.
