My Project

My school consists of a diverse community of students with a wide range of abilities, languages, different races, and other home dynamics. I strive to create a space of belonging that allows my students to take ownership of their learning. This provides my students pride and confidence in their identities as learners. This encourages students to challenge themselves, their community and the world. It creates an opportunity for students to be be hands-on and minds-on to foster their joy and love in learning.

These art and organizational supplies will allow them to express their diversity while learning about themselves and others in their community and the world.

My students are funny, playful, hardworking, and thoughtful. They’re always curious and ask questions about the things around them. However, there are many factors that prevent some of my students from receiving opportunities or life experiences. Due to these factors, many of my students and their families rely on the school and the teachers to develop their love for learning and to help them continue their growth as learners. Despite the many challenges they face, I look forward to cultivating a classroom environment where my students can create meaningful learning experiences.
