Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be engaged in project-based learning in connection to the novels they will be reading in the fall (2025-2026 school year).

The goal is to integrate more PBL and give students opportunities to engage in exploring themes of identity and community within the school for the Deaf.

I will be working with 9th and 10th graders next year which is a change from my past classes. I

have found several projects on TPT that look very promising and will help me flesh out the ELA curriculum in the fall. In particular, there is an interview project, a museum artifact project, and a historical photo project I am looking to purchase.
