Programming Tools for Every Student

Help me give my students Micro: bits for computer science and programming projects in our classroom.

My Project

I am requesting 10 of the new version micro:bits for our classroom. The micro:bits are pocket-sized computers that contain LED lights, a microphone, a speaker, an accelerometer, a radio, and a speaker. When this project is funded, each of my students will be able to hold, code, and manipulate his/her own micro:bit during lessons.

With these tools, my students will be able to see their programs interact with actual hardware including light sensors, LED lights, speakers, microphones, radio transmitters, and buttons.

The hardware will give my students physical data to use when evaluating their codes. The programming activities that we can do with this hardware will help to grow my students as problem solvers and innovative thinkers. Thank you for helping to provide transformative technology tools for my students!
