This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th-grade students are from a low-income area. They need a lot of love and plenty of positive reinforcement. There are plenty of fantastic role models in my class and others are working to improve themselves academically and emotionally. They love to help each other. Most of them have been together since kindergarten, but we do have a few new students.

My students have goals to reach grade-level expectations and beyond!

They are determined to practice, practice, and practice to strengthen their skills. We will encourage and challenge each other to reach our goals!

My Project

We have a range of learners in our classroom with needs just as diverse as they are. Some of them can improve critical thinking, while others can improve OT skills. The list goes on!

We need activities that stimulate learning in the various ways they need.

I would like to build an inventory of productive and educational brain breaks and/or activities using TPT. The resources will be used to reinforce standard expectations and bring students at or above grade level. I will be able to use a budding catalogue for exit tickets, extra practice, sub work, and more!
