My Students
Our 17 smart second graders are eager to show off what they know! Our scholars come from a diverse range of backgrounds, each with his and her own creativity that really shines during our exploration-based tasks. They LOVE to create stuff, almost as much as I love to design the projects!
Between our 17 aspiring writers, mathematicians, scientists, sociologists, and beyond—we have so much to share!
Our school serves a low-income demographic, and many of my students are in temporary housing situations. They love coming to school and getting to create something that they can show off to their friends and family later.
My Project
We have nowhere to print! Many of our scholars struggle with penmanship and use technology during tasks, yet have no way of sharing their finished pieces until the next day, once I've printed them at home. My printer is a fossil from college days, however, and it's a struggle even to print my worksheets and lesson plans....

Sheet protectors will help us display and share this work, and a laminator will allow us to create flashcards and dry-erase style games to make our work better.
