My Students

Many of my students arrive late to school and haven't had the chance to eat a healthy breakfast.

I teach in an inner city school system where many of my students don't have the opportunity to eat a healthy breakfast before coming to school in the morning.

Many of them arrive late and miss our morning breakfast program having to go hungry until lunch time rolls around. I've also found that many of our students have after school athletics and need something nutritious to continue on with their events.

My Project

I would like to get orange and apple juice as well as water bottles, some fruit snacks, granola bars and rice krispie treats for the kids to have something healthy and filling to get them through their morning and possibly even their after school activities.

If a child is hungry they aren't happy, and they certainly aren't ready to focus and learn.

It seems to happen more often than not, that parents are in a hurry to get out the door in the mornings and students forget to grab something to eat. Please help us save these kids from a day of grumpy, grouchy, unfocused learning by providing them with a healthy start to their day!
