Problem Solving with Robots and Coding

Help me give my students current robots to learn how to code and problem solve. Currently the robots that we have no longer work as they have been well used.

My Students

All people are makers... finding the medium is essential. Making is an essential part of Design Thinking.

Our students 6 through 8 use technology tools to create and learn in facilitated Design Thinking focused grade level projects.

All of our learners have the opportunity to engage in Design Thinking in my classroom and connect their learning and creation to curricular areas.

Our students come from many different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, but the ability to create is innate in all of our students. Creating and impacting the school and community are important to our students.

My Project

Currently in our 6-8 Design Thinking and Technology curriculum, designers use robots from Wonder Workshop to learn how to successfully code and create different design challenges. They use these robots to teach younger students as well as each other about coding.

Robots are a powerful way for designers to immediately see the results of their coding sequences and to work with each other in collaborative challenges.

Our current robots are well used and no longer are able to do many of the tasks that we would like to code them for like responding to sound and articulating their head to draw or launch for different coding challenges.
