My Project

These resources will give help students by helping them understand various concepts and problem solve. They will learn to identify emotions, what to do when they have these emotions, and how to help others when their fellow student or friends have certain emotions. Each of the books listed focus on a different skill set. Simon's Hook teaches children what to do when they are teased. The Little Spot books teaches young children what different emotions they might feel (i.e. anger, sadness, and anxiety).The Sharpies, folders, scissors will help me make lesson plans and label folders. Students will also learn how to follow instructions and why following instructions are important. In addition, these materials will help me create lesson plans to address these concerns. These items will make help make a difference in the mental health of my students at my school.

Children need to be taught what emotions are and how to recognize these emotions so they can complete the Utah core curriculum and be successful in the classroom.

Not knowing how to deal with emotions leads to distractions in the classroom

These books will benefit all my current students and future students. One of the first things I teach in my group is how to identify emotions and deal with teasing. These are concepts that all children will need to know now, and in the future
