My Project
Being able to accurately take measurements really helps students understand what is occurring in an investigation, both in the classroom and in the field. Dissolved oxygen levels tell us so much about ecology, and students use it regularly to measure productivity, aquatic ecosystem health and water quality. True, reliable measurements taken over different time scales then allows them to draw a bigger world picture of what they are studying.
Having access to reliable, accurate, easy to use dissolve oxygen probes will allow all students to really measure oxygen levels that can be applied to such a variety of investigations.
Getting accurate readings to calculate changes in photosynthesis rates for introductory biology students to full measurements for their individually designed aquatic ecology based investigations for AP and IB students are just some examples of what will be accomplished with these probes.
We would love to have these upgrading our labs and providing us with consistently reliable data to use and analyze.
