Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students thrive with hands on, project based learning. This projects asks students to design a dart board given a constraint and calculate the probability of winning. This project is summative and tests their understanding of area, trigonometry, and probability. Finally, on the day of our final exam, we'll test the dart boards and compare the theoretical probability to the experimental probability. Your donation provides funds to buy the darts and allow us to understand how we can model with mathematics but the real world has outside factors that impact actual results!
