My Students

My students are really special to me for many reasons. I have a wonderful group of students who come from diverse backgrounds that make them unique. Being engaged in their own learning is crucial for ensuring their success. For example, I know that they learn best through active and meaningful experiences that they can connect across the content areas and to their own experiences. Learning by doing is essential for us because it is so highly motivating.

Unfortunately, most of the enriching experiences my students encounter are within the school walls because my students live in high poverty situations.

I strive every day to make school fun and meaningful for my precious students, while providing them with a close classroom community in which they feel safe. They deserve the very best!

My Project

My class needs four cases for our class iPads which are currently bare. Since these iPads are used daily, they experience the many facets of a clumsy third grader. These cases will help prolong the life of our technology and protect it from breaking in the face of an accident.

These cases will help protect my students favorite piece of technology while they work on learning and practicing the skills needed for success in third grade.

Not only will these cases protect but they will also helps students focus while they use the stand. The stand attached to the case will allow for my students to use the iPad hands free so that they can work on completing tasks and assignments.
