I teach an inquisitive bunch of 3rd graders who love learning! My students live in a low-income school district, and each year more and more cuts are made to our school, greatly affecting the resources we have. I work with a wonderful group of teachers that work hard to provide our students with meaningful learning experiences; however, we have little money to do this. Each day our students come to school eager and ready to learn. They don’t let the financial hardships interfere with their desire to learn and be the best they can be.
I recently started a new reward incentive program in my classroom to encourage positive behaviors in my students and motivate academic achievement.
The students will earn points throughout the school day for work completion, positive behaviors, and respecting staff and students. I am asking for small prizes to help reward and acknowledge their hard efforts once they reach their goal.
With new prizes that students love, I hope to motivate student learning and positive behavior. Please consider funding this project. I know these prizes will help students be successful in the classroom. Thank you for your time and consideration.
