I'm lucky enough to teach Science in a Title l Middle School in the Bronx.
I work in a school where the majority of students live below the poverty line. My students are funny, kind, thoughtful, and are all eager learners. I am always looking for ways to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.
My students need access to the scientific knowledge and experiences that will prepare them for science classes in high school, be accepted into top universities, and contribute to the scientific discoveries of the future.
My Project
My students have chosen remote learning and each day give 110% effort. Throughout the day, they are praised for participating, working hard, staying on task, and showing kindness to one another.

Throughout the day my students earn points on Class Dojo. At the end of each day, they can spend their points on prizes. This tangible token is a symbol of their hard work and recognizes good behavior.
The incentives from the prize box are a key asset in my classroom which helps maintain morale and motivate my students to keep giving their best every day.
