This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am excited to embark on a writing project that will allow my middle schoolers to express themselves. We are noticing that the year at home has truly affected so many in social and emotional ways. I want them to have an outlet for their thoughts and feelings.

My Project

We will be writing in journals for Language Arts and Life Skills in order for the kids to be able to express their feelings and thoughts. The year at home was particularly tough on our kids. I want them to find an outlet and I hope that all kinds of creative writing can lend itself to that end.

The art supplies are to help them bring color to their pictures and words in the journals and elsewhere in their work.

These can also be used for art classes. Thank you for your support!
