Everyone needs a little privacy, now and then! My fifth-grade students work beautifully together for the most part. Our rural school is populated with children who are very hard working, either at home on the farm or at school.
Some of my students suffer from attention problems. They are very smart but they need a little extra privacy in order to do their best. I am trying to accommodate every learning style in my class.
We need tabletop study carrels, so our more easily distracted students are able to concentrate and do their best on tests and when studying quietly. We have tables at our school and usually my students work in cooperative groups. Some of my students require privacy in order to concentrate on their work, or to do their best on a test. This one item will provide private work space for up to six children at one time and will serve the entire class as they need it.
With your help, my students will study for efficiently, find it easier to concentrate on seat work, and perform better on the all important state tests!
