My students need 24 prisms to understand essential science standards for third grade.

My Students
Our science class needs your help! Research proves that more learning occurs when interaction and hands-on processes occur. Our science classroom needs prisms to demonstrate that light can be refracted as it moves. Learning this concept would be almost impossible without these important tools.
I teach 75 third grade students in Florida.
Our class is so wonderfully diverse ranging from ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) to gifted students to students with exceptional needs. They all have one thing in common: they need the right tools in order to be successful in the learning process.
My Project
Obtaining these materials will allow my students to use a hands-on approach to learning about light energy. Having these types of scientific tools in our classroom would also create excitement about this subject. It will allow them to become better thinkers from a scientific approach. Ultimately, providing my students with the necessary tools to learn will allow them to have a better chance at competing in the global marketplace in the future. After all, the greatest inventors had the appropriate materials with which to tinker and where would we be without them?
You can make a difference in my classroom!
Imagine a class full of students ecstatic about science! With your help, this can be reality! These tools will support the learning of my 80 students this year, and all of the students I will teach in the years to come. Please help support this important endeavor. Thank You!
