My Students
Color makes the world beautiful!
Having standards to complete and be told what creative projects must be done is difficult in an art setting. But if I can give my students options to personalize and be creative with projects that must be done I know I can inspire them to make amazing artwork!
My students are in grades 1-6.
They are inner city, primarily African American students. They receive free breakfast and lunch every day and many get "back snacks" of food to take home on the weekends.
Despite these struggles in life, my students are inspiring, hopeful, and amazingly creative people. They have amazing ideas that never cease to inspire me.
My Project
These materials will help us complete a printmaking project. The clear linoleum allows students to put an image under their carving and be able to see it while they work. The inks will allow students to create bright and colorful prints with their carvings.
This project will allow my students the ability for greater success with this art project.
The clear linoleum gives them an advantage for being successful and creating something they can be proud of. The inks allow them to have more color choices and express their creativity.
