This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Printmaking is always a fan-favorite among our young artists, and we've experimented with lots of different approaches. This project will open up some new avenues for creating in the Art Studio, and allow every student to explore the art of printmaking in new and memorable ways! Our art program has continued to GROW, and in 2024 we will keep up our good habits and exploratory projects. This DonorsChoose project will help our students create new, original works using exciting and engaging techniques!

This project will continue to foster a healthy and positive relationship with the arts. The class set of Gelli Plates will be an amazing new addition to our studio. They are very versatile, user-friendly, and satisfyingly easy to learn printing plates for artists of all levels to create unique images. Students can continue exercising their sensory exploration, fine motor, critical thinking, and self-evaluation skills. The heat-press will be an amazing opportunity! We can suddenly create shirts, hats, and mugs whenever we want! Students can choose winning designs, clubs can create their own shirts, and the Art Studio can sell these creation to fundraise for future ideas! (Not to mention the ability to finally de-crumple all our works of art). Thank you for your continued support and trust! Your help makes a meaningful arts education possible. I can't wait to see what our students will create!
