My Project
I am excited to incorporate drypoint printmaking into my 2D design and painting curriculum, as it will greatly expand students' artistic skills and understanding of contemporary artistic practices. This addition will allow students to experiment with mixed media techniques, combining drawing and printmaking in unique ways. Through the process of creating drypoint prints, students will learn fundamental printmaking knowledge, such as the concept that the image will flip when printed. This hands-on approach not only enhances their technical abilities but also deepens their appreciation for the creative possibilities of printmaking in modern art.
